Who am I?
If you haven’t figured it out already, I’m Garrett Mickley, and I am a musician just like you.
But in my early 20’s I put my music career on hold to study digital marketing for about 10 years.
I’ve helped businesses market their products and services from various industries ranging everywhere from politicians to major music festivals.
Also (#humblebrag), I’ve been published in the 2016 Autumn issue of the 2600 Hacker Quarterly.
I know, marketing is a bad word! No one wants to be a sellout, right?
The thing is, we gotta make money. I see so many creative people making great music. The problem is, they’re struggling to keep a roof over their heads. They’re struggling to eat. Their mental health is suffering. Their music isn’t making them money. It’s because they don’t know how to properly attract fans.
